Match score
|
Points during the competition will be published. At the end of the competition the central judges will announce the winner of the game. | ||||
Negative points | During the one match each competitor can get three negative points (GAM JEOM). When he get third GAM JEOM he will be disqualified. | ||||
Direct elimination
|
The sparring competition is a competition with direct elimination ! So the winner goes to the next round and the loser has to quits the competition. | ||||
COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY | |||||
1. Competitors participate at own risk !
Every competitor needs a private insurance or federation insurance. |

2. Competitors are also required to wear their appropriate belt to signify their proper rank
All competitors must have EHU passport or proof of the rank/belt! |
|||||
3. Competitors are required to wear a dobok (Hapkido uniform) while competing.
Uniforms must be clean, not torn and worn at all times during their performance. Removal of uniform top, pants or belt is not permitted during performance. T-shirts under the uniform are allowed only for every competitor in the colour of the dobok. |

4. The medal ceremony will not take place when the competitor is not in uniform (dobok)
or in club (school or academy) / federation training suit. |

5. All uniforms and equipment may not be insulting, vulgar or offensive as deemed by the
Tournament Officials. |
|||||
6. Every kind of jewellery (watches, bracelets, piercings, earrings, etc.)worn is prohibited! | |||||
7. Finger and toe nails must be kept neat and trimmed ! | |||||
PROTECTION EQUIPMENT | |||||
Every competitor has to bring his own protection equipment ! | |||||
1. OBLIGATED protection | |||||
Head protector | in soft quality, no hard parts and the front side should be open from chin to eyebrow (Taekwondo style) only blue or red colour allowed. | ||||
Hand gloves | With open fingers 10 Unces | ||||
Groin protection | Prepare for marital arts | ||||
Mouth protection | Mouthpiece white or transparent | ||||
Foot protector | ITF style, or similar – training shoes are not allowed | ||||
SECURITY CHECK | |||||
At least 5 minutes before the start of the match the competitor has to pass the security check at the competition area entrance. The referee will check the equipment (protection) a second time before the beginning of the game. When the referee decides that the protection worn by the competitor is not safe he can decide to change that part of the equipment. | |||||
SCORING TECHNIQUES | |||||
1. Punching & striking techniques (chireugi) | 1 point | ||||
Only punching with a fist in a proper manner is permitted (punch with first knuckles of the fist, from any direction). All other kinds of striking and punching are prohibited!
Punching is only permitted in the middle section and in the head, on the front and the side of the hogu (chest protector). Back fist included (from turning body)! Punching is only permitted in a fight when both competitors are fighting in a standing way. It’s forbidden to punch when one of both is on the ground. |

3. Joint locks & arm bars (keokki) | 3 points | ||||
All joint locks and arm bars on wrists, arms and legs are permitted. Joint locks have to be
done within 5 seconds after grabbing the opponent. With this technique he can earn the points only in the stand up. After the ground technique it can use only to surrender – no points. |

4. Throwing & take downs (tonjigi) | 2 points | ||||
All throwing & take down techniques are permited. A throw has to be done within 5 seconds after grabbing the opponent. Choking is only allowed during a ground fight. Technique after the throwing is NO POINT ad up. | |||||
5. Clinching | No points | ||||
Clinching is when the 2 opponents have close contact by grabbing with minimum one (1) hand. When both competitors start clinching they can only perform a throw, take down, an arm bar or a joint lock on arms or legs, all striking, punching or kicking techniques are forbidden !
Clinching time is maximum 5 seconds. No punching or kicking on the floor. On the floor competitors have 20 seconds to execute the arm bars, joint locks or choking technique and have 3 seconds additional to opponent disqualification by surrender. Surrender is if the opponent tapping or say STOP. |

FORBIDDEN OR ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES | |||||
1. Attacks to the groin. | |||||
2. Strikes with open hand or elbow on any place of the opponents body. | |||||
3. No attack with the knee | |||||
4. No handattack in the backhead section | |||||
5. No punching or kicking when the opponent is on the floor | |||||
6. No punching or kicking during clinching | |||||
7. Threats of attacks as above (no contact) | |||||
8. Turning the opponents body with a legbar to break his back and attacking the spine! | |||||
9. Unsport manner of trainer or competitor | |||||
10. Exit from the competition area (tatami 8×8 m) with both feet intentionally | |||||
For every forbidden or illegal technique can be given full penalty point. After 3 penalty points per one competitor, judge stops the match and the other competitor announce as winner. | |||||

Overly aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated !
In that case the referee can decide to end the competition game. In the case that any matters not specified in the Rules occur, they shall be decided through consensus by the refereeing officials of the pertinent game. |
