Competition area The competition area measures 8 m x 8 m.

As well as of the sound recording of the team should not exceed 3 minutes.

Initial positions of the contestants on the ground before the performance, along with the sound record and choreography, are to be chosen by the contestants.

Coach There is one coach per competitor allowed on the competition area

HIGHEST MARK Flag system 5:0, 4:1 or 3:2

SCORE ANNOUNCEd right after the referees give the points by rising the blue or red flags.

FREE-STYLE TEAM OF TWO DEMONSTRATION is a demonstration performed by a team of two athletes (imitation of a fight) accompanied by music on the basis of the Hapkido techniques, acrobatics and choreography.
Direct elimination

 

The competition is a competition with direct elimination! So the winner goes to the next round and the loser has to quit the competition.
COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY
1. Competitors participate at own risk !

Every competitor needs a private insurance or federation insurance.

2. Competitors are also required to wear their appropriate belt to signify their proper rank
3. Competitors are required to wear a dobok (Hapkido uniform) while competing.

Uniforms must be clean, not torn and worn at all times during their performance.

Removal of uniform top, pants or belt is not permitted during performance. T-shirts

under the uniform are allowed for the competitors in the colour of dobok.

4. The medal ceremony will not take place when the competitor is not in uniform (dobok)

or in club (school or academy) / federation training suit.

5. All uniforms and equipment may not be insulting, vulgar or offensive as deemed by the

Tournament Officials.

6. Every kind of jewellery (watches, bracelets, piercings, earrings, etc.)worn is prohibited!
7. Finger and toe nails must be kept neat and trimmed !
CONTESTANT EQUIPMENT
Every competitor has to bring his own equipment!
 
Sporting weapons:

– knife imitation (plastic or wood),

– short stick (wood, 40 cm long, 3-4 cm in diameter),

– long stick (wood, 100 – 120 cm long, 3-4 cm in diameter),

– baton (wood, 130 – 180 cm long, 3-4 cm in diameter),

– cane (wooden stick 70 – 80 cm long with a hook on one end),

– belt (belt made of cloth 180 – 300 cm long, 4-5 cm wide, 0,5 cm thick),

– fake sword,

– nunchaku

SECURITY CHECK
At least 5 minutes before the start of the match the competitors has to pass the security check at the competition area entrance. The referee will check the equipment a second time before the beginning of the game. When the referee decides that the protection worn by the competitor is not safe he can decide to change that part of the equipment.
PERFORMED TECHNIQUES
The performance may include: any striking and throwing Hapkido techniques, acrobatics. In the mixed pairs, the woman may use self-defense techniques, while the man plays the role of the assistant.

ALLOWED HAPKIDO TECHNIQUES
·         kicks (in the air, in pairs, in the objects: pads, boards, etc.);

·         punches (in the air, in pairs, in the objects: pads, boards, etc.)

·         all types of throws, grabs and holds used in Hapkido;

·         use of Hapkido weapons and self-defense against weapons;

·         demonstration of using materials on hand (bag, umbrella, etc.);

·         complex of techniques, combination of movements, etc. used in Hapkido;

·         acrobatic elements, falls, breakfalls;

·         respiration exercises.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
·         Complexity of kicks

·         Performing quality of the Hapkido techniques

·         Stage of completion of the performance

·         Complexity of choreography, compliance with music;

·         Vividness of performance;

·         Speed, dynamics, harmony and teamplay during the performance;

·         Artistic impresson;

·         Kihap, energetic engagement while performing techniques;

·         Breakfall techniques (altitude, speed), acrobatics.

CATEGORIES
Competitors are categorized by age, not by weight classes

If there are less than 2 competitors in an age group, the judges reserve the right to combine age groups.

WORNING
Competitors can compete only in the age group in this year in which they reach a certain age limityear of birth, and not by the date of birth
AWARDS
There will be a medal for the first 3 competitors of each category or division.

A gold medal for the first place, a silver medal for the second place and a two bronze medal for the third place.
